Hire Contractors: Find licensed building practitioners (LBPs) with experience in cladding installation. Check references and previous work. - we have an amazing LBPs.

Step 6: Preparation - This is on you and/or the builder, depending on your agreement.
Prepare the Site: Clear the area around your house and ensure easy access for workers and materials.
Protect Property: Cover and protect landscaping, windows, and other vulnerable areas to prevent damage during the project.
Step 11: Post-Installation Maintenance
Maintenance Plan: Establish a maintenance plan for your new cladding, including regular cleaning, inspections, and any required treatments.

Check Local Regulations: Review local council regulations and the New Zealand Building Code requirements - talk to our specialists, there may be a need to involve an architect.
Obtain Building Consent: Apply for building consent from your local council, providing detailed plans and specifications - it sounds complicated, but our team can easily take care of this part as well.
Step 5: Detailed Planning - builder responsibility.
Finalize Plans: Work with your contractor to finalize the project plans, including timelines, materials, and specific tasks.
Order Materials: Order the necessary materials in advance to ensure timely delivery.
Step 6: Preparation - This is on you and/or the builder, depending on your agreement.

Step 7: Removal of Existing Cladding - builder responsibility.

Inspect Structure: Inspect the exposed structure for any signs of rot, mould, or damage that need repair. - unfortunately, this is the time when the extra costs can occur, but we will let you know as we are upfront of any issues.
Step 8: Installation of New Cladding - builder responsibility.
Install Moisture Barrier: Apply a weather-resistant barrier to protect against moisture infiltration.
Install Insulation (if needed): Upgrade or add insulation to improve energy efficiency.
